I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I had a great little room, perfect for my solo Christmas shopping trip. The room was really clean and tidy. It had funky decor and great touches like an ipod dock. The shared bathroom was no hassle either as it always was free when I needed it and the light above the door indicated whether it was vacant or ...
The web site pulls no punches on the room size / SMALL. I was in town over the weekend with out my family so I did not need the room or frills. I opted for the smallest POD (apptly named) without bath or toilet in the room. The room was small, but hay it is NYC you should not be in your room and at 139 a night for this location you can't go ...

The Worst Experience Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/08
Me and my husband arrived in the NYC expecting great service and most importantly a bigger bed and room. Fist off we booked for a queen bed and they gave us a DOUBLE BED! I haven't seen a double since I was like 9 years old. You mean to tell me that a Husband and Wife are supposed to sleep in seperate beds? Not only was the service horriable ...

If you're like me, you wait till the last minute. I must say it is for a young crowd only. Im a college student and everytime I fly up to NY, I stay there because the location is impecable. You are literally walking distance from Rockafellar Plaza, Time Square, 5th Avenue, etc. I am a fan of their prices and location. But think Dorm'. Thin ...

Great Modern Dorm Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/07
Efficient Rooms - small but work really well. Think of a modern dorm room and a cost effective NYC price. If you are looking for a roomie and gracious hotel room - not your scene at The Pod. The location is beyond wonderful and quiet street in Midtown. The truly HUGE downfall is the standoffish and very unhelpful staff. It has not been an ...

We stayed in the Pod Eye for 10 days in August 2006 and what a clean, friendly hotel with very accomodating staff. its literally a 7-8 min walk from 5th avenue and there are loads of shops in the immediate vicinity. its really clean and i'm going back this xmas to it. Great value for money, we had a queen room with private bath. Loved NY and lovely hotel.
I could hear doors slamming in the hallway, TVs and voices in other rooms. The double-bed room was very small, approximately 8x12 ft, plus a small toilet area & shower.

GREAT HOTEL FOR THE PRICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/06
CANT WAIT TO STAY AT THE PICKWICK ARMS NEXT TIME WE VISIT NEW YORK. THE PLACE IS IN SUCH A GREAT LOCATION. YOU CAN ACTUALLY WALK TO CENTRAL PARK, THE THEATER DISTRICT, SHOPPING ON FIFTH AVE, THERES A NAIL SALON RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. THE BEDS WERE CLEAN, EUROPEAN STYLE ROOM. BUT GOOD ENOUGH IF DONT PLAN ON STAYING IN YOUR ROOM. THE STAFF ...
Given the good price and the central location, the rooms are awful. I've never seen such a small room: there was barely space for the bed and when sitting on the toilet you couldn't comfortably place your feet. The service is poor and the staff was not professional at all.
My husband,my girlfriend, and I came to visit family. We looked @ hotel prices and just about passed out.My cousin recommended the Pickwick Arms.We booked a room and were amazed how nice it was.The price is great. The staff were very helpful. It made visitig NYC a bit more enjoyable.
