I pass through the New York area regularly on business, and have stayed in a number of hotels from Albany south. The Beekman Arms has become my favorite for a number of reasons, but primarily because it feels like an old home, a place you can relax, a place without pretense. Great place to have your property stolen

Our laptop computer was stolen from the hotel. When we reported it to the front dest, another guest said her camera was traken from her room.

Well maintained old hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/04
Enjoyed the age and history of this old hotel. Very clean and well kept. Walking distance to many eateries. Good parking. Short distance (by car) to FDR Library, Culinary Institute of America and Vanderbilt Mansion.
