I live in the western new york area and my girlfriend is from the long island area. We decided to plan a trip up to Montauk and to stay over night since it was a few hours from my girlfriends house. I did my research online and decided that this was the place to stay. I WAS WRONG. IN FINE PRINT ON THE WEBSITE IT SAYS YOU MUST BE 25 OR OLDER TO STAY ...

A Very Pleasant Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/09
After reading several reviews of this resort, I was mentally prepared for a dump. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. After checking in, (our room wasn't ready because we arrived at 9:30 am and checkin is customarily at 3pm) we were told we could go and wait by the pool. Since the sun was shining and we already had our swimsuits on, we ...

Can't wait to go back

It's a great family place, right on the beach the Cafe is family run really nice people, open for breakfast and lunch. The location is walkable to town but not in town. Parking is a bit of a problem if you have more than one care. Rooms are clean but not updated. It's a family party motel. We've been going for 7 years and love it!
I loved this place with its old world charm .It was all freshly painted and well manicured with fresh flowers and a warm heated pool.on the beach. I saw the ocean laying on my bed .spotless brand new bathroom and the kitchen efficiency perfect, lacking plugs for coffee making and no microave.STay in Room 209.. beautiful.
i agree, had my wife and two children for a 2 night stay and had to endure the drunken rowdiness of the NYFD. My walls were paper thin and had to listen to stories of "the beast" .Will go elsewhere next time.

beach suite is the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/07
we stay every year in the beach suite. Separate bedroom 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Private balcony right next to sun deck. It is the best room in the house. I love going out there every year. Yes the rooms need work, they finally fixed the suite up new tubs, frig. This is a family place if you don't have kids, don't bother. If ...

blue collar heaven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/07
If you want to spend your weekend with families of New York's finest and bravest drinking and being rowdy with their families, this is your place. The atmosphere was just too loud with those guys. They took over the whole bbq area, the whole center of the hotel grassy spots. Many many playpens, trikes, skateboards, and water toys all over the place. It was just too much.

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/07
My family and I went in August, 2005 and found it to be a perfect place to stay at. The room we had accommodated us all very well. The room was nice, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and many towels. We plan to going again this summer (2007). The location is the best on Montauk. You can walk everywhere. The only ...
Great location, but terrible service. Here's the story:
Stayed in an oceanfront room with water flooding into the room from front door with any rainfall. Front desk disallowed contact with a manager, and did not fix the leaky situation even by the third day there. Checked out early and had to forgo charges for a 4-day anticipated stay. ...

Not Le Meridian, but perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/06
First, the location is perfect. If after driving across Long Island at 30 miles an hour in the middle of the summer was enough to never want to drive again, you can park here and never have to drive until it's time to go. Everything really is in walking distance, but even you don't feel like walking most things are at least a very short ...
