Go to the 5th floor, step out to the bell tower bar. Best view of city. We had table overlooking the city. Drinks a bit expensive but worth it to have the view. Best time sunset

On a more practical level -- you are right on the Plaza and great discounts are available in the off seasons.

We adored everthing about it in 1985 and it took us until 2006 before we had a chance to go there again and take our Texas - Frederickskburg friends with us, there they saw some old friends from Dallas, so we have many happy memories of the unique dining room with the surrounding glass panels. Can't think of a better place to have a meal. It is truely out of this world!!. I would like to be able to go there every year.
