Location was excellent, room was very nice, staff was friendly and very helpful with transportation and information. It is within walking distance of Old Town. Breakfast at this Best Western was really good and an excellent Bistro is right next door.I will stay there again

Not up to par
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/09
This is not up to the standards I've come to expect from Best Western. The WiFi was extremely slow (it took me over 2 minutes to load this page). The doors to many of the rooms are warped enough that several do not close properly (had to lean on ours to get it to latch. At least two of the elevators creak and groan their way up and down.
On the plus side was the cleanliness of the rooms and the decent location relative to the interstate.

Cold Pool
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/09
We chose this location for the pool. It was covered and heaters were blowing in it but the pool was not heated. Kids could not swim comfortably. Bar closes to early. Restaurant in lobby had poor service and was expensive as a family. There is a Village Inn to the west on Central. Location was great to get to part of town within minutes. Clean room and beds were comfortable. Ask for extra pillows!
The location was good and the hotel did meet our most of our needs. We found the following interesting – there were no in-room movies available (but website advertizes this service), housekeeping forgot to replace our shower curtain and had to return to our room and the WiFi in our room was not good at all. On the plus side – it was ...

Worst hotel in Old Town area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
Outside of hotel appears nice, but inside it is dirty. The carpets in halls are dirty, elevator is old, small, & dirty, rooms are dirty and outlets do not work. I complained to management and received a "don't care attitude" response. I checked into a better hotel (Hotel Albuquerque Old Town) after 2 days.

2nd Best Near Old Town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
After the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town (formerly the Sheraton), this BW offers the best accomodations within walking distance (1/2 mile) of historic Old Town, and a miriad of diverse museums on Mountain Road. Small restaurant offers a decent breakfast, but look elsewhere for authentic New Mexican food. Our room, and service were "Average-Plus."
Oh, where do I start? I looked forward to a nice stay because of the Old Town location.................wrong. 1. dog barking in next room 1st day 2. put in a smoking room without anyone ever asking 3. tub stopper broke 4. list advertised 22 tv channels only got 16 5. breakfast - ugh hard to call it that........kp eggs after changing rooms to ...

Lousy Service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/07
Problem 1: The card-key to access the hotel room door did not work for myself or other people staying at the hotel.
Problem 2: The temperature/pressure control for the shower did not work and the water was ice cold which meant that I did not get a shower.
COMMENTS: Best Western needs to evaluate the training of their representatives at the ...
We stayed here during the New Year's Eve blizzard of Dec 2006. The restaurant is not something to be desired, even when you can't get to anything else. The wireless internet connection was a joke (on the 4th floor). The service was OK - not bad or memorable.

Very dissapointed no sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/06
I'll start by saying that the night manager was nice. My daughters were traveling across country and had been driving for 12 hours when they chose the Rio Grande Inn. The problems began when they kept hearing a beeping as they were trying to sleep. Just load enough to disturb their sleep but they were too tired to get up and investigate and ...
