I've stayed at the Northern Comfort many times over the past ten years. The staff is always pleasant. The service is great, offering fresh coffee and dounuts in the mornings. The rooms are very cozy and always clean. The heated pool is well maintained. The Northern Comfort has always been a relaxing retreat for my family & I. We can't wait to return!

I'd gradly go back! Nice Knotty pine interior (ambience). Very clean & neat! Owners are friendly and very helpful with local information. Rooms come with refrigerator, air, etc. Coffee at 7:00am.

Snowmobiles (only) get parking priveledges. They park them right outside their doors and run them for 15 to 20 minutes at 7:00 in the morning. The cloud of smoke that you have to walk through to get to your vehicle is horrible and also comes in your room. My vehicle was also hit by a skimobile trailer when they were leaving. We felt fortunate to have stayed here one very snowy night. It came highly recommended, was clean and the the 2 bedroom suite was quite a deal. Owners couldn't have been more accomodating.Better mattresses than most condos and motels. And skiing at The Balsams is close by!
