great hotelduring the reno rodeo, we use to stay at the
silver legacy, we tried the hilton 2 years ago, service was great, as we were going to
the silver legacy for the bfi dinner, the
valet service, was just so slow, on retieving
your truck to leave, it took 20 minutes before the truck arrived at the valet area.

Hope you have a lot of time....We had a beautiful room-one of the new suites. It was modern, spacious and very comfortable. However, there were 2 elevators working for half of the floors on the weekend of our stay, the front desk laughed about it when we asked why, apparently they do maintenance through Saturday and painted the elevators on a Saturday, with many guests and ...2 of 2 Yahoo! Good stayI had a suite (460 sq st) and it was perfect. The buffett food was good and the service was fine. There are plenty of activites to do at the hotel but the pool is closed while construction is going on. Other than that, a good weekend.OVERALL

Do NOT stay at the Grand Sierra (aka Hilton)When I booked this hotel I recieved a notice that said check in would be at 3:00pm.. We live in California and it's about a 4-5 hour drive.. We left our city early so we can make it there at 3:00pm.. When we arrive there, the lady at the front desk told us to come back at 4:45pm because our room was NOT ready yet.. Very disappointingThey are making lots of changes. I am not sure if it is for the better. Everytime we go, there are fewer slot machines. The last 4 times we were there on the slots, no one came by for our drink order. The service at some of the restaurants is slow to non-existentent. We walked out of Johnny Rocket's twice. Poor Customer ServiceI felt that the room should have been better for the price we had to pay. This was our first time here and they put us in a room right next to their construction. Yes, right next door.

Horrible!!!The rates are expensive and the people are rediculous. Locals in Reno expect the rates to be reasonable except special occasions and so does travelers. The food is horrible and the food was way better when it was the Reno Hilton. People want to be in a hotel that has a lot of great stuff but also things that are at reasonable prices.2 of 2 Yahoo! I'll Never Go Back!!!!!Where should I start! Our reservation was for a handicap room w/ 2 pref. queen beds. Upon arrival the front desk clerk promply took my ID disappeared into the back room and returned to say there wasn't any availabilty. She offered 1 king bed smoking room or 2 full size beds. good choice to have our conventioneverything was wonderful-the food was a bargain at chevy's-the waitresses and waiters
