  • Buyer Beware!!!!!
    By BeckyJo, 08/26/09
The lobby is very impressive and the restaurant lovely. That's where the enchantment ends. No A/C. No elevator (we had brought my parents who are seniors). The bathrooms were dirty. We ate one night in the restaurant. I've had Happy Meals that were tastier and delivered with better service! The server asked us how our meal was and ...

  • We're going again this summer
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/08
Sure, it's expensive, but all of the lodges are beautiful and fun. We're a family of five, and hotel staff worked with us to get the best value for our budget. They had our rollaway ready when we arrived, and did everything they could to make sure we knew where everything was. The bathrooms are small, and the hot water seemed to run out ...

  • View of History
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
I wanted my two grandsons to experience the Lodge, and booked one night there. I knew what to expect in re the room--gee whiz, they are trying to keep them as when they were built--if you want luxury in a room, rather than history--this is not the place. I am sure there must have have been a bell person somewhere, but didn't see one, and ...

  • Glacier Park Lodge, Not worth the Price!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
We just returned from Glacier National Park and it was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time in the park and I highly recommed it to anyone. We stayed at Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier and it is horribly overpriced for what you get. It is historic and the lobby is very impressive and that is where the charm ends. We got to our rooms and were ...

  • A History Lovers Paradise!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/06
My parents & I stayed here one night in mid-September. It was really cool, because it was like "stepping back in time". I really liked the impressive lobby where everything was made of giant logs. It makes a person feel so small. We especially liked relaxing in the old chairs, in the glass enclosed breezeway, that face the ...

  • Got what I feared
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/06
I booked this and didn't check it out that thoroughly, and then I came on this page. Most of the reviews I soon found are sadly right on. It's too far from Glacier Park -- you're adding on an hour drive each way with the same drive. The rooms are old without being charming. The setting is beautiful -- it is Montana. The lobby is ...

  • Staffing needs improvement
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/06
The lodge was impressive as you drive-up the driveway and enter the inside lobby. The lobby and lounge area needed more cleaning it was not as sparkling as it should be for a grand historic hotel. The staff at front desk were not trained fully in customer service. They kept relying on someone in the back office. The dining was a dissappointment ...

  • Don't Waste your Money
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/06
I went to glacier park on my honeymoon, and couldn't wait to get out of there. First of all the room was overpriced for what it was. A $40 bed, no tv, no ac. Pipes hanging all over the ceiling. The bathroom was so small, I don't even know how to explain it. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8 A.M. Restaurant service was horrible and ...

  • Long time dream.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/05
In June 2005 we realized a long time dream of ours and traveled to Glacier Park from Northeast Ohio. We traveled for 10 days spending time in Colorado and south central Montana. We had reservations at the Lodge and could hardly wait to see the lobby in person. We checked in and really liked our bellperson. Our room was really nice and had a ...

  • Not worth it
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/05
I disliked Glacier Park Lodge because of a lot of reasons. I went there for a visit with my family. They gave me a room with a huge balcony which was shared with another room. In our room there were two clean beds with a bathroom and a walk in closet. The bathroom was extremely small. It included a low, dirty sink (it had dirt and grease all over ...
