We have stayed at the "Q" as its called now for years but most likely will not return. The "Green" aspect of the hotel is inconvenient. We had no paper in our room to write a note on, the coffee cups are paper, no glass anywhere. Had 1 desk chair and another small chair for furniture. The couches & coffee tables are ...

Hands-Off Management Style

Our family of four recently spent 5 days at this hotel. The location in the heart of Westport was great. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were appreciated. That said, it all went wrong the day after our daughters checked into the hotel. While they were out for a run, hotel staff emptied their garbage; they also took our youngest daughters ...
We returned from a wedding reception and found that there was not adequate parking for the hotel guests. Not only did the front desk clerks not care, but they stated that there was not enough parking because the club next door was having an event. We had to drive around for about 20 minutes and finally found something on the street about 3 blocks ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/08
The rooms we were given was not soundproofed at all ...we slept horribly. We could hear every door in the vicinity being slammed all night long. Also,We could hear the neighboring rooms guests all night.
When asked to speak to the manager about the problems we were having we were told he was not available. I told them to please have him call ...

terrible service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/08
the service was awful. The managers are never there. We reserved a bloch of rooms for our wedding and at the beggining everything and they were going to give us a complimentary room but when it got close to the date it was impossible to get ahold of the manager and I would call the hotel, literally, everyday and he would be out. I even left him two ...

A Disappointing Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/08
We were in town for the Bon Jovi concert. A rainy day and we got to the Q Hotel and found out (even though we had reservations) they did not have the 3 rooms we had reserved back in February. The sent us over to a sister hotel. The whole experience was very disappointing. We were looking so forward to the stay and having the shuttle to the Sprint ...

Excellent weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/08
The Q had just been renovated and everything smelled new. The lobby bar allowed us to get the weekend off on the right foot. The staff offered up suggestions for dinner and entertainment and the free shuttle took us there.
The eco format was interesting and refreshing. In room recycling was cool.
I will be back!

I wanna go back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/07
We absolutely loved this place! I had never been to Kansas City before, and the staff at the Quarterage were sooo incredibly helpful. They have a shuttle that takes you anywhere you want to go for free(excluding a tip)! The driver of our shuttle (Michael) made of KC experience great. He told us everywhere we could go and what to expect there. We ...

I usually spend 2-3 nights a month in KC and the Quarterage is my first choice. The staff is friendly and make an effort to accomodate any requests. Being on the edge of West Port and close to the Country Club Plaza gives easy access to many restaurants and shopping.
