ask the front desk if they r filming a tarzan movie before u book room july 4th 2009 some of the restless natives were arrested more than once during the night up until at least 2 am by 15 or more patrol cars from the tupelo police dept not a place to get any rest and when mentioned to desk clerk next morning nothing was even said as i am sorry

The air conditioning was out and no smoking rooms yet there was burn marks on the tub , we pulled back the covers and a bug ran out. My husband is a heart patient and can't get hot they refunded one night but said the other I had to pay for because I reserved it online and I'm stuck because I don't have that information. Never stay there it is horrible not clean we had to hunt another room and eat the bill.

The rooms rented were atrocious with fecal matter on the seats, cigarette burns in the sheets and blankets, and BED BUGS in the bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

WALKED INTO THE ROOM AND HEAVED AT THE SMELL. FILTH IN THE TUB AND ONLY TWO LIGHTS WORKED ONE IN BATH OTHER IN BETWEEN BED. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, WHEN I AWOKE MY SON THE NEXT MORNING HE HAD BUMPS ALL OVER HIS BODY AND WAS ITCHING. SO AT 7AM I HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO WALMART FOR BENADRYL. "THIS IS NOT A JOKE THE BUMPS WERE CONFIRMED BY THE DOCTOR ON 4/1/09 TO BE BEDBUGS"

I did not like the rooms, i try two room and they both wasn't clean.

lobby is nice, however the rooms are terrible! standing water in the hallways on bottom floor. the swimming pool filthy, had a running water hose in pool. chlorine for pool??? if you choose this location, take lysol!!!

i enjoyed my stay at howard johnson express, now that it is under new management the place has improved from when i had last stayed there.

The rooms were not maintained well. The wallpaper was peeling and the tub insert had water under it that made it feel like you were on a waterbed trying to balance yourself. The "Deluxe Continental Breakfast" was a joke unless you wanted cereal or a muffin. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was worried when I saw that the hotel looked old on the outside. However, the person that was checking us in was pleasant and helpful. We were sad that the pool was not ready for the weekend, but we were understanding.
