The room was dirty, the staff was rude and had attitudes when you asked them a question, and they charged extra money to my credit card without notifying me first. The bathroom was not clean, the tables were dusty and there was hair in my sheets. My husband and I will never go back to this hotel!

Avoid at all costs!

Upon check-in, we were told that there was a $28.00 charge per day to park the car. This was never mentioned in any emails or on the phone. There are no restaurants nearby except the hotel's, which charges $15.00 for breakfast consisting of 2 eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns. Needless to say, we never ate there. The In-House TV station ...

A very bad experience..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
This is the worst hotel that I have stayed at. Had to pick this place for my busines trip. The service is poor. It's hard to get around unless you are driving a car (parking is $35 per day) or if you are going to MIT (It's right next to it) - I am using T trains and they are extremely reluctant to offer their shuttle to the train station!!! ...

Not worth the price

Attended a conference at this hotel. My $259.00 + taxes bought me stained carpeting, scuffed walls, filthy vents, a bath with no caulk on the tub or sink, flickering fluorescent lights and a balcony door with absolutely no lock on it. Add to that the fact that I had to pay an additional $9.99 for Internet access.
The rooms were definitely clean and pretty comfortable. There is a nice view as well. However, it is basically a high-priced Holiday Inn. This is NOT a luxury hotel, but everything comes at a luxurious price. There was a bottle of water in the room that we drank, only to find out at check out that we had been charged 5 dollars for it. In the ...
I had a wonderful view of the Charles River. Very pleasant staff and an excellent Sunday brunch. A little disappointed in the slow WebTV, but I'm sure if I had brought my laptop, other access would have been more satisfactory.

where's the T stop?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/21/06
This hotel was just OK. The elevators were always packed, there was construction noise to wake us up at 7 am, it was over-priced for what you got, and you had to schedule a time to get a "shuttle," which was just a Dogde van (which doesn't take your luggage, by the way.) The ambiance was nice, and the beds were comfy, but I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere, probably something just closer to a T stop.

Awesome Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/06
We were there for a conference at the same time as another conference. There was never any interference - other than a line at the elevators. The people were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was gorgeous. I would definitely stay there again - if you can afford it.

Beware of hidden costs

Started on a bad note. Hotel overbooked. Then rooms not available at check in time. Had to paid additional fee to get a room to accomodate my family. Pleasant visit following that until check out. Worth a visit but make sure you ask questions prior to arrival and get names who you have spoken to.
Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Twenty minute walk to Fenway Park, which was a nice surprise. Hotel is not really close to much and you have to find transportation. Hotel "shuttle" service needs an update-too many quests-only one shuttle. Pool is a lap pool and the locals who pay a monthly fee to use it will definately let you know about that. Excellent views of downtown Boston as you overlook the Charles River.
