I love this hotel, it's charming and clean and the staff is very helpful. And talk about location. You couldn't ask for a better FQ locale. You can get everywhere from here. I love everything about the Hotel Provincial. We're going down in December. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
i love to stay here because almost every room is different-- it is a hodge podge of buildings in a square that make up one hotel. one of the bldgs was a hospital 100 years ago, but now is part of the hotel. it is very interesting and convenient to jackson square

A charming, beautiful, orderly hotel undaunted by hurricane Katrina!

I always try to stay here when I visit (about four times a year), because the price is right and it's central to my favorite hangouts (like Lafitte's in Exile). It's very quiet and clean. Fantastic location - just two blocks off Jackson Square, but quiet! Warm, welcoming staff - helpful, and ever so patient with our group of 14. Charming rooms and courtyard with fountain.
You can still come to New Orleans and have a wonderful time even after Katrina. Most businesses are open, although many have abbreviated hours of operation ...

This place was wonderfull, just a couple blocks off Rue Burbon, huge lofts. and the lovlest court yard.We were only there one night, and left earlie in the morinng, but the loft was awsome, and being that close to burbon st. it was actually sooo quiet
This lovely, quaint hotel is situated quite close to the action in the French Quarter and Cafe DuMonde, however, it maintains it's quiet, romantic allure. My husband and I spent a romantic weekend there (35 years ago, before we had kids). I still remember the lovely appointed room overlooking a central courtyard fountain. Then we went back (35 ...
