Let me start of by saying Thank You to all the staff at the James. With that said I'll finish my review. Honestly you can't beet the location. It's only a block from Michigan Ave and all the shopping you can handle. I got into town early and they found me a room right away (Not that they had openings but had the cleaning service stop ...

We won't go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/07
We really loved the location and the price was fair. However, the entire building was under construction and our room was horrible. Jack hammers started at 6:00 am and there was no resturant. We were comped our parking for our "inconvenience". We came back from shopping to get our car and they wouldn't let us use the restroom ...

Had a great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/07
The staff are all very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping and turndown services were excellent. The J-Bar makes some outstanding cocktails, try their signature cocktail "The James".

Absolutely Amazing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/07
My husband and I were in the area for the weekend. The hotel was wonderful - the front desk employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was pleasantly surprising - cute little kitchen stocked with muffins and juice, fold out sofa for visitors, even the bed was nicely tucked toward the back of the suite for added privacy. Everything was absolutely amazing.

Room Rates
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
I think it is very inconciderate to search a hotel (as this one) online with the rates listed as $75.99-299.00/night, then when wanting to reserve a room it totals to $300+/night???
This was a great room for the money. The staff was very helpful and kind. The only thing i did not care about it, we were in the inside of the hotel, so if you looked out the windows all you seen were other windows. when i go back i am going to see about getting a room that faces out into the street. This hotle was in a great location

i liked the fine dining. i disliked the size of the elevators. If you are planing a trip, this is the place to go. But also consider before you really decide

Was not impressed with this hotel. Check-in was supposed to be a 3:00, however they did not have our room ready until 6:45. Bathrooms were small, kitchenette sink did not work, several outlets did not work, two lightbulbs were burned out. The location was nice, and the staff was friendly. The hotel was going through a renovation, so things seemed disorganized. Won't hurry back to the Lenox Suites, will only use them as a last resort.

good place to stay and will visti on the next romantic date
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
service was good, friendly but the cost of stay is little expensive. Except that would grade it 4 1/2 our of 5. One good thing about the hotel location is apt for a visitor who like to stay in the Down town.
The suites, which came complete with kitchenettes, really made it feel like home, only nicer. The rooms were quite comfortable. The decor in the lobby reminded me of Parisian hotels. The location was superb. It was located just one block away from Chicago's magnificent mile. The service was great, too. I could tell that the hotel was well managed, because the workers seemed happy to be there.
