Great Value during a brief stay

This hotel was a great value to a city on the move. We needed two rooms which included a jr.suite and a handicap room. Both were large and spacious. The jr.suite held a party of 25 people. The staff took care of our every need with a mere call to the hotel operator. They offer complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets to all the room guest ...

It would be nice if they had wireless internet in the guest rooms!! Our company also uses there hospitality suites and are very pleased with the services they offer!!
The shuttle service was great to the river for the events which we attended. The beds were so comfortable the couple we went with and us both rushed out and bought very similar ones the next week. We have been sleeping in the clouds since then.

as we attempted to get some much needed sleep, the sound system at big al's around the corner could be easily heard by my friends and i in our sixth story room. although this, in itself would have been bad enough, the paper thin walls allowed us to hear every word of our neighbors conversations. also, be sure you bring patience for the checking in process and don't forget a parka, you'll need it.

The Hotel Pere Marquette has beautiful lobby, and at the high price, it appears at first glance to be a classy place to stay. However, my wife and I were very dissapointed to find the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in and amenities that can be topped by any Holiday Inn in the country.
The bed was really comfortable, too bad we weren't able to sleep. We could hear and feel the sound system at Big Als, the strip club next door, from our 7th floor room. The music continued at an unbelievable level until at 3am, at which time, our neighbors, probably returning from Big Al's, were almost as loud through the paper thin walls ...
I went to the restaurant in the Pere Marquette at 6:15am and asked for a table and was seated. I went to the lobby to use the restroom and found it closed. I went back to the restaurant and informed the waitress of the situation so she called someone and told me the bathroom would be open in a few minutes. 15 minutes later the restroom was STILL ...
The Pier is the only hotel truely in the heart of downtown. A few recent upgrades has made the stay more pleasant. I particularly like the comfortable and roomy billards bar. Light and airy decor for most historic hotels. If staying in the heart of the city is not a must then you can get a better deal.

Run Don't Walk--A far away as possible

The first night we (me and my disabled mother) were told that the boiler for the heater didn't work, so we were brought a space heater. The next night, at 4AM our time, 6AM Peoria time, painters started working in the hallway, waking us up. We were told "they had nowhere else to work". The next night, Big Al's across the street ...
