A nightmareThey promised me an "Ocean View" and gave me a room with a view of the rooftop of the property next door. You would have to stand on one end of the balcony to get any view of the ocean. X-mas vacationThis place is the most layed back, and fun than any other place i have every stayed. The Whaler is in the middle of everything with black rock only a short walk and great surfing only a half mile away. I would recommend this place to everyone. stunning beach view!We stayed at the condos during our honeymoon, and our room had the "killer" ocean views from the balcony. ABSOLUTE PARADISE!I stayed at the Whaler back in 1991 with my parents and Aunt. The view is breathtaking and I had found absolute pararadise on Kaanapali Beach. The Whaler is very conveniently located to shopping at the Whaler's Village and snorkeling at Black Rock. My dad and I walked every morning to Black Rock to go snorkeling and it was great! Just MauiedMy husband and I stayed at the Whaler when during our wedding-moon to Hawaii in 2001. We loved the Whaler! It is in a prime location and very spacious. We were so enchanted with Maui that our baby girl's middle name is Hana. We can't wait to take her to Maui to show her the place she is named after. The WhalerIn April of 2000 my then girlfriend and I stay at a hotel on Kaanapali Beach. Two weeks we enjoyed the resort vacation. In September of 2002 we decided to revisit Kaanapali Beach for our Honeymoon, this time we stayed at The Whaler. WOW !! We loved it. The condo was great. View was spectacular, sunsets from our Lanai are etched in my mind. This is the place...we felt right at home.
