The originally booked room was out of order, so we were placed into a smaller but acceptable room. It is older, but clean. $114/day for the smaller room was not really worth it, but they did give us breakfast, lunch or dinner coupons for the restaurant in return for the inconvenience. The food at the restaurant was decent.

Great location and breakfast everyday was awesome and pocket friendly! Only 1 block from beach and we were able to pretty much walk everywhere we needed to go.

I stayed @ the Ocean Resort from Aug 31 Sept 10th 2005. and loved it and would stay there again & again. I had room 1940 top floor!!!...City/Diamond head view with a kitchen! The staff was extremely helpful and our room was cleaned promptly. However, the rooms are very small and the view isnt that great. Also, it was close to the beach but far from Honolulu's nightlife. If I was on another tight budget, I would go here but I would prefer to just wait until I have enough money to go elsewhere.

Location is very convenient -- bus stop is less than 100 yds from lobby; beach & Kalakaua Ave are 200 yards up the street.

Found decent price for air/hotel/car package on internet, but I would not pay the rack rate this hotel charges. $75 max per night is my suggestion. A 2-star rating of this property would be generous.

I would stay on the street rather than return to this place! They require you to use their valet car service but we had to wait up to 20 minutes for car because, which they admitted but tried to laugh off, forgot about us because they were so busy.

You can get a room/ car package with a partial ocean view for $89.00. The location is excellent, being just one block from the beach (on a side street). I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is great. We loved our room, we loved the pool and the location was the best.....only a 5 minute walk to the beach! The parking was a bit of a hassle though.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful...best of all, it was literally 2 blocks away from Waikiki beach! Very basic hotel, skip the kitchenette option - lots of inexpensive $3 breakfasts around the area.
