Overall I did not have a good experience with Pagoda Hotel. I stayed in the Terrace on the third floor, overlooking what I assumed to be the parking lot. These horribly ugly plastic shutters they had blocked out the actual view (possibly a good thing), but the actual blinds did not block out sunlight. Could I sleep in? No. Did I want to? Not ...

Horrible stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/09
Our room 465 was in terrible condition and very very dirty, stains and mold in bathroom. Towels are not fit for a dog. Beds falling apart. Not a child friendly room. Dresser is so stink that you cannot place any clothing in them. The chair cover is torn to shreds. Bed mattress is hanging under the bed and very dirty. Took a lot of pictures ...

Glad to Be Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/08
I've brought my family from Kauai to Honolulu many times since the early 80's. Pagoda was always the place to be. In the past 3-4 years we heard some negative things about the place so we stayed at several other hotels on the island. This past weekend, we stayed there overnight. Now it's just my husband & I and we were so pleased ...

Pagoda Hotel is worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/08
While this hotel is older and could use some updates it is also clean and comfortable. It was centrally located and within walking distance of many great restarants and you could be at the beach in 10 minutes. If what you wanted to see was not within walking distance you could hop a trolley for a small fee and get just about anywhere. The staff ...

Won't be back.

Stayed at this hotel a number of times many, many years ago (when it was a lot "newer"). The hotel is notable for its central and convenient location--away from touristy, overcrowded Waikiki.
Spoke to their toll-free reservations agents twice, as I was having problems booking their online special, online. It turns out that one night ...

Pleasant Experience

Pagoda is located in away from Waikiki but yet convenient for shopping at the Ala Moana & Ward Center, and close to major restaurants. Being away from Waikiki by a few minutes by car, its quiet and relaxing.
Rooms were clean and well kept up, service was good, having a kitchette in the room was a good addition as we can purchase the local fare ...

Luke Warm Reception
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/07
My husband and I have stayed at the Pagoda before and had no major complaints, so we decided to book a room again while our home was being treated for termites. Since we were at Jamba Juice, we decided to just walk over there, enjoy the fish pond, and do the arrangements while we were there.
The pool scene was reminiscent of a budget motel in ...

I love this place. Being a kamaaina, I really don't like staying in Waikiki. It's too crowded and parking can be a hassle. Pagoda is close to Waikiki but more convenient. Ala Moana, Wal-Mart, Ross plus an assortment of places to eat are all in walking distance. Parking is no trouble. The rooms are clean and perfect. I haven't had any ...
