The good things about the hotel are the rooms with King Size bed, the view, the swimming pools and its location in relation to the airport. Less enthousiastic: the draught in the hotel (except) in the rooms, is really too mutch and makes the place (bars!) usutable to stay. We have only had one dinner in the hotel because it was too cold and ...
We spent 8 days at the resort. First of all, everything was absolutely beautiful. The 3 mile stretch of the beach on the resort was breathtaking (however not for swimming but a few good swimming beaches close by). The rooms were modern and very cozy (and clean). The staff went above and beyond my expectations. I would definately want to go back!
the room had a old and damp moldy smell to it. wallpaper was coming off the walls. the breakfest room was noisy. the front desk was rude. i wouldn't stay here again.
We spent a week here celebrating our 30th Anniversary. A wonderful resort to use as "home base" for exploring Kauai. A very solid 3 star (4 if there were more food options) resort, with a 2 star price tag. Exceptionally clean and well maintained, the service isn't quite up to par with Hilton Hawaiian Villiage on Oahu, but then the ...
The beach is fantastic. The resort is located on a secluded beach! Miles of beach access, very few people. The resort is very nice, pools are great, food is expensive, but the location and amenities are first class. Would stay there again!

Loving Lihue
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/07
Stayed at the Hilton Village on Ouha prior to coming to the Hilton at Lihue on Kaua'i and there IS a major difference in hotels. Preferred the Lihue area but the rooms are very small and they are not very well insulated from the noise. We were on the top floor (conc.) and always heard the folks in the Shutters Lounge downstairs EVERY night, as ...

Not Up To Hilton Standards
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/07
I booked this hotel because it was half the price of the Hyatt... and I got half the service and quality that I normally get at a Hyatt (and most Hiltons). For the good points: it is centrally located on the island's main highway for sightseeing. If you turned left or right out of the resort, you would reach the end of the road in about an ...

Outstanding Value!

This hotel far exceeded out expectations. We stayed from July 7 - July 14th 2007. The room was freshly redecorated and clean, the pools were reminiscent of the Mirage in Vegas (on a much smaller scale of course) and they were never crowded, though the hotel was sold out. Much higher pool to room ratio than the Sheraton, Marriott or Hyatt! This ...
This place has changed hands and when we went last month it was the Hilton. We stayed 6 nights here and 6 at Kuhio Shores condo in south shore. The Hilton is in lush Lihue, convenient to the airport, but off the beaten path so the hotel feels nicely private and secluded. A $10 fee per day covers beach towels, pool towels and valet parking which ...
