This was a super location and lovely hotel. The rooms are brand new with lovely dark wood furniture and tastefull decor. The bathrooms are updated with granite and new tile. I was very impressed. This grand hotel is worth the visit!!

Great Jax. Getaway...........
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/08
We have been staying in the King Suite at the Cherokee Cottage at the hotel for the past seven summers....We always take advantage of the Summer Family Getaway and spend our days swimming, biking around the island, visiting the sea turtle center (located right on the hotel grounds,) golfing, and shopping....Our meals are always great, and we go ...
The good: The facility and location were beautiful. The grounds were immaculately landscaped and the architecture was interesting, invoking an age long lost in America.
The hotel's restaurants were a bright note, in terms of food quality.
The bad: The service.
A waitress at breakfast insulted my chosen profession. A bartender ...
I have been dining at the Jekyll Island Club for years, they have always had a beautiful Sunday brunch. However, the last time I attended I was told that I was 30 minutes late and would have to wait. Truth is, I wasn't late...the person who took my reservation made a mistake. However, the hostess was straight out of the trailer park with a ...

On the way back to Orlando to fly home, we stopped at the Jekyll Island Club. The front desk personnel were extremely friendly, they had a room in the annex that had a wonderful "sun porch". I looked at reviews on my Blackberry and saw ...
We arrived at the hotel a little early. The desk clerk was very friendly. We were allowed to check into our room. Another patron a few doors down had a baby who must have been teething, as it was crying constantly. We asked the desk clerk if we could change rooms. Both the clerk and the manager on duty were very understanding, and gave us another ...

Awful Awful Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/06
We just returned from our trip to the Jekyll Club Hotel. The ONLY reason I didn’t leave after being there for two hours was because all the hotels in the area were booked. This was the worst travel experience I’ve had in a decade. Where to start…. the employees were rude, male-chauvinistic, and condescending (perhaps because we were females). ...
