After reading all of the negative reviews, I was a little skeptical about staying at this hotel. The construction is complete and this place was wonderful. The only complaint about the room is the bathroom was small. Other than that, I really enjoyed the hotel. I will definitely visit this hotel again.

One could make a strong argument for a hotel of this size (small to medium) closing when undergoing a total renovation. Space is at a premium and there is no place to go, except on the beach, to getaway from the construction. The construction is complete and I was treated to an exceptional father's day this past weekend. I suggest that the ...

Glass in my Beer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/08
The new hotel is beautiful and they ahve done a great job. However I was there on June 6, 2008 for a few drinks with some friends. I got to the bottom of my beer in the pilsner glass an there was a piece of jagged edge glass the size of quarter at the bottom of my glass. While I understand that things happen and I am not a huge complainer. The ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/08
It is a beautiful place! My husband, two kids and myself stay in this hotel. The staff really make us feel like home. The important thing is that the rooms are clean and you have what you need to feel like home plus an ocean view . The staff is great, we really enjoyed the restaurant the pool and the decor of this hotel. We are definetely planning to come back one day. floridian mommy of two.

Grab a hard hat and prey you make it to your room....ALIVE!
My husband and I stayed three years ago to the weekend and had a great time.....but now it has disappointed me. We stayed this past weekend only to find NO PARKING, NO POOL, & the Front desk was in the basement. My husband almost got killed by the elevator door closing on him. The construction workers were loud and rude. When we arrived we ...

Stay Away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/07
I am a traveling computer consultant and got snowed by the United.com advertisement for this awful place. It was the most run-down hotel I have ever seen. There were large gaping holes and construction everywhere. They should not have been accepting reservations while under construction. Dirty water was running down the halls, scaffolding ...

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/07
First and foremost --- don't go here. I was at this hotel almost 2 years ago and it was under construction. (It was just beginning) NOW, It is just as all the other reviews say, a dirty shell of a place --- seriously under construction and should not be open for $179 + a night. I will never go there again just because I got snowed over ...
THE GOOD: the location was fantastic. Our TV was super big. I upgraded ($50)to oceanside so the room itself was almost finished and clean but over the door was open wiring.
THE BAD:Construction started at 6:45am-9pm on all sides of our room (I looked nextdoor to check and there were no walls like a bomb went off and our room was the ...

My husband planned a beautiful weekend for my birthday which was September 30, 2007. When we arrived at the "Dirty Turtle Inn" it was just as I stated dirty. They were remodeling and the enitre place was a true mess. They should have shut the joint down until the construction was finished. I have asthma and specifically asked for a ...

Shouldn't be open for business
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/07
The Sea Turtle Inn is under going major renovation. Every floor is being re-done and the rooms that are open for guests reak of mold, dust, and paint. The construction goes from 7am to 7pm, with the banging and pounding echoing through the pipes of the entire hotel. There is one working elevator for 8 floors and sometimes, it doesnt work. When I ...
