would never ever go back..worst hotel stay I ever had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/06
We stayed at the Tradewinds Sandpiper the first weekend in June 2006. At check-in they were unable to find our reservation and took appox. 35 minutes to check us in. The next day after being at the pool for a few hours I went up to my room to get ready for a 2pm appointment. My room key would not work. The desk staff told me the key did not work ...
The hotel was remodeled at the beginning of this year. I talked to a staff member who said every surface of the hotel had been redone. I've never been to a beach resort as nice as this. The view was beautiful, the room was plenty spacious and well kept, and the staff was extremely curtious. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

We just returned from our vacation and we were quite surprised to find that everything was brand new top to bottom. The room and bath were on the small side (standard room). The biggest problem was the smell of fresh paint. By the time we left, it was gone or we just got used to it. Housekeeping was very slow, one day our room got cleaned after 5 pm. Parking was convenient.

Our family has been to the Sandpiper the last four years and have been satisfied with the resort as a whole. All staff from the front desk to the cleaning personal have been courteous and helpful. I am in a wheelchair and have been surprised with how accessible the rooms and grounds are.
The hotel's location makes it accessible to a great ...

What a S Hole
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/06
While the location was good. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned since Washington stayed in Trenton. The staff seemed more intersted in where the happy hour was and less about their job.

The staff was very courteous and responsive to our needs. I had one of the best vacations here at the Tradewinds. I recommend them highly.

Run Like the Wind Away From Here!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/05
This hotel was so run-down and filthy that we refused to stay here and demanded a full refund. Our "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke, we could hear people just talking (not yelling) in the next room, and the clincher was the drilled hole (where the peephole was supposed to be) in the door allowing anyone walking past a clear view into ...
This was a very gorgeuos property with plenty to do. It kept you busy with the hotel's own entertainment from the beautiful beach to the swimming pool to the inside bar. It was great!
What we enjoyed about this trip was seeing the hotel from where we first started coming here 19 years ago. Yes things have changed however seeing some of the changes and memories have been memorable. We will be back. It has been 8 years from our last visit however before that we would stay here with our children 2 times a year. (easier because they didn't start school). If you have a problem with anything just ask. It does get handled.

we stayed at the tradewinds in 2004 and at the sandpiper the week of 05/07/05. We were booked on the second floor above the lobby. two limos came and went in the night. The three of us woke up a couple of times. It was a northwest package for 749.00 Our room was not on the ocean but after telling the manager of the noise he moved us. The rooms are ...
