This place is perfectly situated in the central hub of the Thomas Circle/14th street restaurant, club and theater scence at a great value. Just a hop-skip-and jump to the train and within minutes you can find yourself in Virginia or Maryland too! Good basic service, clean and friendly. A perfect no-frills (but not skimpy)hotel for singletons, families and business trips that's accessible to monuments and convention center.

From the outside, this would look like an impressive establishment. However, the rooms leave alot to be desired....very old and cheap furnishings. That's probably why I got a $40 rate on Priceline during Easter Weekend.

We couldn't believe how shabby this hotel was-- chipped, bare walls, stained tubs with broken tile, and even water faucets that barely worked. The staff was friendly, but farely incompetent--we felt like we got a lot of "oh well" kind of responses. If you choose to stay here anyway, make sure you specify that you want a poolside ...
