Vail getaway August 2008Splurge and get the condo. We stayed in condo room 370 and it was fantastic. Paul Lovelace, the manager, called us by name and gave us the upgrade from a room on the first floor, which is actually two floors below the loby to the 3rd floor, just down the hall and around the corner from the lobby.

Great location BUT................Two complaints that I have...........summer is the TIME for contructions of new roads and buildings. The SOUNDS of HAmmerjacks and other typical construction noise was very disturbing in this tranquil and beautiful landscape. AND THERE WAS NO AC IN THE HOTEL. DAYTIME TEMP UP IN THE 90s. Lion Square is awesome!!!Located directly at the base of the mountain and next to roaring Gore Creek this is a great property! Excellent rooms and condo overlooking the creek and remodeled pool area. Request a mountain view to ensure you get the great view. The Valley views are mostly of the parking lot. Nicely priced for what you get.
