We went to W hotel's restaurant and spent over $200....they asked us to leave around 11 pm....then we wanted to go to the bar and get another drink, but there was the rudest security guard standing right by the bar asking us to see if we had a reservation....make long story short...we almost got kicked-out of the hotel....do yourself a big favor and avoid this hotel for your own good....
I like the place in Los Angeles because I've never been there. Someday I will go there. First, if I go there, I'll get to be discovered as a movie star, then I'll get to be discovered as a singer. That's what I'll be doing if I go there. Actually, some celeberties were born there. I believe it would be a lot warmer than it is in the northern, northeastern, northwestern and eastern United States.

Avoid the "W" hotel in Westwood LA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
The hotel was being refurbished but they did not inform us before the stay.
The pool area was used for a private function for one afternoon so that the hotel guests could not use it.
Second day the pool area was used for another promotional party and became extremely crowded and noisy.
The staff at this W were absolutely a pleasure to deal with! They were pleasant and fun to talk with and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect.
When I entered my room, ambient music was playing on low and the lighting was set beautifully. I really loved the clean lines and cleanliness of the room. The bed was amazing ...
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Good location for business travelers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Good location for business travelers...Great restaurants... good location ... in the heart of downtown. But I would recommend this more for business travelers than tourists. Tourists should focus on the coastal hotels.
Location and service was excellent. It is off the beaten path, but close to entertainment and good resturants. It is a good place for family or business. The neighborhood is a residential and upscale at the same time.
I am in for a business meeting from New York. The hotel made me feel really comfortable. They got me a copy of the WSJ paper the morning, made my jasmine tea and the hotel has a great breakfast bar.
I had so much fun at the pool that I wore myself out... Had a few too many drinks and let me tell you something... THE BEDS ARE AMAZING! The beds are so soft and inviting that it's hard to get out of them... I PROMISE YOU'LL LOVE EVERY PART OF THE EXPERIENCE AT THE W... Walking distance to UCLA and plenty of shopping...
I really enjoyed this hotel because of the cleanliness and the quietness. i was never disturbed by noisy neighbors or noise from the court yard. The room was very cozy.
