We booked our reservations online with Hotels.com. The rate was $79.00/night. When we checked in, the paper we signed said $59.00/night. When questioned about a refund, the gal said no, since it was prepaid. We had requested 2 rooms on the main level, both with a pool view. We were only able to get 1 room with a pool view. The elevator was broken ...
Stayed 1 wk while attending a convention. Great Breakfast! Has wafflemaker, muffins, narrowly limited fruit choices, juice, hot/cold cereal, hard boiled eggs. If you must have your eggs over-easy, Denny's is in the parking lot. This hotel is across street from Amtrak station; but to walk, you must zig-zag thru some cross walks. The streets ...

1. Wall mounted magnifying make up mirror in the room! The big hotels rarely provide this. 2. Free shuttle to and from the airport. 3. Friendly and helpful staff printed out our boarding passes in our absence. 4. We inadvertently left two one hundred dollar bills on the bed in the room when we left to go the the Jazz Festival. The money was ...
I was delighted with the Vagabond near Old Town Sacramento. I lead a group folks over 50 years of age. We wanted to do a train trip to the Sierra's but required a hotel near the train station for an overnight both going and coming from our destination. I knew there was a hotel nearby and found it on Yahoo. When I read the reviews I was ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/07
We have stayed here on all our shopping trips to Old Town and highly recommend it. Location is GREAT, no driving, and the price is RIGHT! If you are headed to Old Town for shopping, dinner, and a night of adult beverages THIS is the place to stay!
I stayed in this motel, and truly loved it. It is an upgraded "Motel 6" however w/better amenities. STAY HERE you will love it. Hope you love trains.

Great Location Terrible Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/06
The hotel is nicely located downtown in walking distance to old Sacramento, the mall, museums, and the capital which is why I choose it. However the rooms’ valiant attempt to modernize fell short. The bed was lumpy with poorly fitted linens. The rooms air conditioning was loud, which help in not hearing the very near by busy roads. If you stay ...
The hotel is very convienent to Old Town. Difficult ingress/egress for parking at the hotel, i.e. one entrance/exit through the Denny's parking lot. 1 blk walking distance through parking garage to Old Town. Hotel was well used and moderate in price. Free breakfast and internet access. Cleanliness was average to low, but acceptable if this isn't a major issue for you. Service was responsive and staff encountered was friendly.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms are very nice, large and very clean. The free breakfast is great, we especially loved the waffle stations. After a day of shopping or sightseeing, the pool and spa were like heaven! I could appreciate the free internet connection at the business center. Too bad they didn't know how to send a fax ...

Avoid this motel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/05
The noise here was horrid! I could not believe how loud the freeway was, it was a nightmare. Plus the room was not that clean for 100.00 bucks and the heater clicked incessantly all night. The next morning the maid kept knocking on my door and even let herself in once to see if she could clean the room. Since she could not speak English ...
