Wife and I stayed here and were perfectly happy with our stay. In the Santa Barbara market this is an excellent place to stay for the money. It is close the beach and the rooms are clean an well maintained. Will stay here again on out next trip the Santa Barbara.

My wife and I stayed here while our children were in a local swim meet. The location to the pier and the pool were optimal. We never had to move the car. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Wineries, restaurants, and the beach.

The continental breakfast was much better than most. Fresh pastries from a REAL bakery were wonderful. In the afternnon, fresh cookies were available - a great hit witht he kids. The pool is small but servicable. The rooms are decorated in 50s - 60s style, but pleasant and very clean. Very near the beach. I recommend this place.

I have been coming to this lovely Inn for the past four years and it has been nothing but delightful. The first year I came by myself, but last year I brought my daughter and her girlfriend and they loved it too! This year, we are coming with both of my daughters, and both of their boyfriends. If you are travelling on a budget, this is the hotel for you - great breakfast, great location, fun personalities, great movies available at the front desk, ask for coupons for the trolley, just a very cool place.

We stayed at the Franciscan Inn for a week over labor day weekend. The rooms were fine (your standard hotel room, nothing more), the location was great, but the customer service was horrendous. When we checked in, they tried to tell us the rate was $40/night higher than what we had a confirmed reservation for, and their excuse was that it was a ...

The location and room were comfortable.
There were a lot of bugs flying around the room (moths, no mosquitoes), but once we kicked on the AC they seemed to leave.

Breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular, but an added plus.

This is such a charming Inn with an ideal location in Santa Barbara. The service was excellent. The Franciscan Inn has a wonderful continental breakfast located in their lobby. We will be returning soon!!!

my mother,daughter and myself have been coming to this is inn for ten years every spring. Great attentive service, cozy rooms. They have a small continental breakfast in the morning and you can enjoy your coffee or hot tea by the fireplace. Also there is a nice pool area for the kids. A great place.
