Staff gave us everything we asked for from extra towels and pillows to the rollaway bed we requested. I needed directions they mapquested everything daily for me very nice. Rooms were very comfy. The only negatives were breakfast but was pricey and 12 dollar parking. There is parking on the street though just park early. The hotel is about 3 blocks ...
I’ve stayed at The Old Town Courtyard five times for business over the past year and plan to be back in the area again soon. The hotel and rooms are clean and kept up. The rooms have flat panel TV’s and very comfortable beds. The biggest drawbacks are the gym because it is small and does not have enough equipment plus the pool is very ...

Not Very Clean

The sheets looked like they weren't washed when we arrived (not just stains but other nasty things on it). The hotel is located next to a freeway, so it was noisy and there isn't a nice view from the room. It was okay though. The internet worked well and there were cable channels like HBO. The bathroom could have been a little bit nicer or ...

The 'negative' online reviews I read prior to my arrival were way off base. I am a light sleeper and awaken easily, but I slept like a baby in the comfy king size bed. The rooms were exceptionally clean, quiet, no bugs!, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
We had free internet, free shuttle service, and free coffee in the lobby. ...

Nice Friendly Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/07
We stayed here for one night. It is not one of Marriot's exclusive hotels, but for being an older building, it is well kept, clean, and the help is very nice.
The old part of San Diego sits about a block away and it is a very interesting part of Ca. to walk around in. Among other things, it has the very first San Diego restaurant and many ...

Loved it!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/07
My family stayed at Courtyard in Old Town. We had a great time. The hotel is beautiful. Very clean. The staff was soooo helpful with our sightseeing questions. They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies available. My kids loved the hot chocolate. We had the breakfast buffet and everything was very good. We walked to the Old Town and had a blast. The food was good and the shopping was fun.

Wonderfully located in Old Town, walking distance to restaurants, shops and old market. Rooms were great, service impeccable. Kids loved the ice cream social in the afternoon. The only thing missing is complimentary breakfast. This needs to be added.

Great stay

Very nice accomodations. Restaurant on site is so so. Parking in this area is a problem and you can pay to park in one of two off street parking areas they have. HOWEVER, the spaces are very tight and our car actually drug bottom over the humps to get into one of the garages and the limited spaces in the other one left us pulling back out and going ...
It's located right next to Old Town, San Diego. You simply park your car and forget about it! The location is superb because you can walk to practically all of the sites, attactions, and restaurants! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Whenever we visit San Diego, we stay at the Courtyard by Marriott (Old Town)!
