We used to stay at the Hayatt in Los Angeles and that was nice. But this Hyatt in santa clara was not what I expected. We got a king side bedroom and for 100 something dollars a night was not that impress at all. The hallway to the room looks like a hospital so who ever design it need to be fired. The room were ok but you could tell is kinda worn ...
Fast check in, clean lobby, no-smelling hospital-like smells in the hallways, clean elevevators, spacious room, hi-quality body care products, cool sink, big flat-screen TV, cotton sheets, warm quilted comforter on big bed... I like this place.

Happy Birthday!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/07
I took my daughter and five of her girlfriends to Great America/Hyatt for her 13th Birthday! The hotel accomidations were excellent! We used the pool, gym, room service and called house keeping for various needs several times. I was most impressed with the service -- it was impectable!! Thank You!
There was a mix-up in my day of arrival for a 1 week stay (they thought I was going to arrive a day earlier). As a result, they canceled my entire week's reservation without contacting myself or the event organizer. Needless to say, I wish this property was still under Westin ownership. It was such a nice place to stay before the idiodic Hyatt took over.

Excellent for the most part
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/16/06
Everything about this hotel is wonderful. I have visited about 10 times and the only complaint I have is how expensive the restaurants are...the more casual one and Fresca. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Other than that, the location, service (excellent), rooms, comfort level are superb.
Lots of parking, nice size rooms, great breakfast. Shower pressure is not great. The hotel is HUGE, which is a bit off-putting, but its fine for a business hotel.
My folks were in town for a convention and I used their room as a 'home base' during the day. The rooms were nicely appointed, the pool was accessible and had plentiful towel service and the gym was probably the best I'd seen in a hotel. And their interior connection to the Santa Clara Convention Center made it easy to go back and forth all day. All in all, a good experience.

Not Very Westin
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
The hotel is located in the center of the silion valley. My mom stayed there when she came to visit me in San Jose. I stayed with her for 1 night. It's not bad. But it's more like staying in the above average hilton garden inn rather than the Westin. Their breakfast is expensive and of very low quality(12 bucks for a bagel and 2 thin slices ...

OK, but sub-par by Westin Standards
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
I suspect this hotel was not originally a Westin, as the overall style, room size, etc. is not quite up to Westin standards. Nonetheless, you should expect the standard Heavenly Bed and Bath and all the other amenities that come with staying at a Westin. The public areas including a nice outdoor pool are solid, and the location is convenient for ...
