Not as advertised- expensiveGood fishing in the river. Cabins are kinda run down. Lodge will nickle and dime you. Free boat with cabin rental, but charges for motor, seats, rope and anchor will run 100 for half day. Restaurant in very expensive and food is so-so. Service slow. Wife's food was cold, staff uppity. Nice, but........Correct, there are plenty of other places that are just as nice and cheaper. They are high on their prices, which include the gift shop, restaurant, and drinks for that area. It doesn't get any better than thisGaston's is simply the nicest resort I've ever been to. I take my family there several times a year because the accommodations are great, inexpensive, and the service is unbelieveable. I like to fish in the river while my wife shops and the kids play in the pool, arcade room, or playground. We take a football and play catch behind our ...3 of 4 Yahoo! Truly AmazingThis is the only place I would recommend taking your wife too! I have fished all over the western hemisphere, but my wife only asks to go back to Gaston's. Heaven on EarthI have been going to Gastons for many years. I hesitate to write how much I love the place for fear it will become over crowded. The word that best describes it is "peaceful". Wildlife abounds, the accomedations are first rate and the fishing is such that it will hard to concentrate back at work. The staff is both corteous and professional and they make you feel like you are their only guest. I just wish I was there now.You did not find this review helpful.4 of 5 Yahoo!
