Staying at Sanctuary was quite a memorable experience. We upgraded to a one bdrm. 1,000 s.f. mountain view casita and were not charged for it. We were especially pleased with "The Elements", the restaurant on site. Every meal we had there was exceptional. The spa was great and I highly recommend the seaweed wrap, massage and facial. I wasn't that impressed with the pedicure...whereas everything else was done in a luxurious, private and serene area, the pedicure was done in a noisy alcove off of the gym.

I'd been going to John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch for a while. The new Sanctuary (over-hauled, at the same location) is a major step up. If you want good food, beautiful scenery, and a healthy/active vacation (golf, tennis, spa etc), and are ok paying a fair amount for a quality boutique resort, then I'd definitely recommend The Sanctuary.
