The staff was excellent, We were treated very well, we felt spoiled, I truly can not wait to go back. Room service was quick, and the food was delightful.
The Hotel Captain Cook is probably the best hotel in Alaska for a conference. Lots of meeting rooms, and good deals on guest rooms. I have been for school board conferences, and they have done a good job of accomodating 53 school boards plus staff...

Whenever we plan a getaway, summer or winter, to downtown Anchorage we always think of the locally owned and operated Capt Cook Hotel. The room service is top notch, attentive but not bothersome. The food in the two restaurants is superb, as is the food and drink in the two bar areas. Have been there for meetings and banquets - the provisioning of these rooms is always terrific.

Finest Stay IN ANCHORAGE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/05
Finest lodging in Anchorage. Impeccable service, dining, and rooms. You would be hard prssed to find a better experience. However... it'll cost ya! The daily room rate last time I checked (peak tourist season) was in the $340.00 range and up.
This hotel was all that we expected. We were on the 16th floor in a two room suite not advertised on the website that we had been offered many months before our planned trip when we inquired about two rooms. What a great view and what a nice room with great views of the bay. Service was excellent and we found a few of the employees including the ...

Nice hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/05
Great hotel in a terrific location and I would recommend it. However... For $280 per nite, the size of the room was the absolute tiniest I've ever stayed in! Barely enough room to even walk in - literally, and the parking garage is a yukky smelly one across the street with NO HOTEL VALET SERVICE!!! BE CAREFUL - Valet is done by parking ...
There is many thing that I love about this hotel, one of which is the location. There is no bad view from any of the rooms. You are either overlooking the inlet of the city. Not to mention the fact that you are located down town, by all the best dinning establishments and clubs. Another reason that I love this hotel is the Crows Nest restaurant. ...
My trip to Anchorage for the first time will not be my last trip. Captain Cook's outstanding staff was the best as I was able to view the magnificent scenery in Alaska. The views were breath taking. The staff were very helpful and very friendly and helpful. Thank you for one of my most memorable trips in my life.

Very Nice, but not WOW
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
I stayed the night for a conference, even though I live in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, although the cleaning staff didn't speak much english. The room was nice, and very clean. Great view in a corner room. The room layout was a little odd. You couldn't see the tv from the bed, and the chair and table were across the ...
