I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The bathroom was terrible. We stayed in the annex and it was terrible. Only one night but never again!

Don' eat the snacks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/09
The snacks in the room are old and out of date. The restaurant on the 1st floor wasn't very good. The room was great. I especially liked the king size bed with the nice comforter. Pillows were plentiful (which is rare for any hote) and very comfy. The staff all seem a little stressed out but maybe thats just Jersey for you. The room ...

DON't Let the Bed Bugs Bite...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
Um ok, so at first glance you may agree that The Chelsea hotel appears to be average, if not above average from the pictures. If that isn't enough incentive to reel you in, the unbeatable price will sure catch your visual senses. Upon arrival, the outside looks in dire need of a severe renovation, however when entering you're pleasantly ...

August 2008 me and my boyfriend stayed here before they official open. I figured whats the worst that could happen. We had to wait because our room was not ready. But they said we would be upgraded a suite because we had to wait. When I seen the room it was a nice small room but I mean what was it upgraded from? We had to call to find out what the ...

TrainWreck! I thought I'd been taking crazy pills.
They lost our reservation despite emailing a confirmation, were a disinterested staff, repeatedly gave us smokey rooms, and we had to fight for a view.
To date, I'm still not sure HOW they screwed up our reservation, but even though I had a copy of it in my hand, the front desk fellow and his supervisor continually insisted that our ...
My girlfriend and I went to Atlanic City for a 3 day getaway. When looking online for a place to stay the Cheldea Hotel caught my eye. I wanted a place on the boardwalk but didn't want to stay in a Casino. I also wanted a place with syle and class but not stuffy. The Chelsea superseded all my expectations. The front desk ( Kevin and ooh I ...

What a disaster!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/09
First of all, we booked the luxe tower, $90 more per night than the old annex tower, when we first checked in we didn't realize they had given us a room in the annex until we got to the room, it was small, dark, dank, smelled funny and the bathroom was horrible, looked like it came out of an old camper. We got changed to the Luxe tower as we ...
The Chelsea is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Disappointments after disappointments. I chose this hotel based on overall good customer reviews and 4-star rating. I stayed at the annex part of the hotel. According to the hotel's own description which I missed to recognize earlier, Annex offers retro-motel style accommodations, updated ...

A picture is worth NOTHING

Everything--- On the web you see this wonderful "new" hotel. Not so!!!!! We thought it looked so nice. We got there and we stayed in a not updated 1950's room from the black mold on the shower and the rust in the sink. This was not what you see on the web. I complained and had a woman with an attitude told me there are two different ...
I came with family here towards the end of the summer, right when they were re-opening after renovating. The staff was friendly and I loved the decor and style of the hotel. The room was very nice also. The pool area and restaurant was not open yet, but the brochure for them looked nice. The view was nothing special, but the location is great.
