My wife and I stayed here before we had kids and we felt like it was a good stay for the budget. There's nothing fancy about it, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms are outdated, but we spend more time on the beach anyways. We had a kitchen in the room, so we saved money by shopping at Publix and I find a pool is a necessity ...
Dirty and nasty. Floors had spills from previous occupants. Ants and roaches everywhere. Had to fumigate my luggage! Do not spend your money on this hell hole. Maids came into room after we checked in while we were in there to check the room...yea right.

Hi Stewart, Though we live in Ocala, Florida, we have been coming to Trails End since we moved to Florida some twenty years ago. I remember our first stay there when we arrived in Treasure Island while driving down the coast looking for a get-away in the dark. My wife and I are teachers and had left our schools after a harried week seeking refuge. ...

Made my stay a depressing nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/08
This place, despite it's cute & quaint look, is a run-down, flea-bitten nightmare. I will pay you not to stay here. No fridge, no clock, no microwave, not even a coffeemaker, no ice bucket, no cups, non-functioning air in room, see-thru, raggy curtains. A nightmare. It depressed me, and ruined my stay at the beach.

Great Stay !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/06
The staff are very nice. The rooms quaint, clean, could use a bit of updating. It has that old Florida charm. Very inexpensive. Smack on the beach, with pool that faces the gulf. I have paid a lot more for accommodations in St. Pete, but not many can beat Trails End location on the Gulf. The smell, well hotels and motels on the Gulf as well as the ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/05
Bad smell, not clean, peeling paper, awful mattresses, we left after about an hour. Yuck!
family oriented, with amenities, inexpensive. they do alot of repeat business which proves it is not a numbers resort. it's right on the beach, excellent sunsets free of charge.
