  • Not a good choice
    By Carmen, 05/16/05
Parking is a problem and expensive, the room smelled of wet moldy carpet, cleaning staff helped themselves to our souveniors. Lots of homeless people around. Wasn't a pleasant experience.

  • I Enjoyed--You'll Enjoy Too!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/05
I have stayed at nearly every major hotel in the city. After looking forward to staying at the Marriott (downtown) for years I finally caught them at a time when they had a good rate with no major events going on in town. The hotel lived up to my expectations. The service at check-in was excellent. I wanted a room with a great veiw and the staffer ...

  • It works in a pinch
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/04
The next time you need last minute hotel reservations in San Francisco, call on the Marriott. The hotel won't disappoint those looking for standard lodging at big city prices. Don't get me wrong - the beds are semi-comfortable (the king-sized beds are larger than average), but the rooms lack any sense of updated style. The spa is crowded ...

  • Pukey interior, great location
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/04
The green and orange color carpets make you feel like throwing up. This Marriott is just like any other Marriott, except the cost. Parking fees are about $30/day plus tips, which is standard for SF hotels. If you're cheap, park at the gigantic parking complex caddy-corner to the hotel, which is half the price, but has no in-and-out ...

  • Fun time at the Jukebox
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/04
When you drive towards the downtown Marriott you notice that the beautify designed building resembles a jukebox. This ideally located hotel is stone's throw from the Museum of Modern Art and the Moscone Convention Center in downtown San Francisco.

Thought the hotel is large in statue, the staff tries to personalize the service to make ...
