The location is great close to Pike Place Market and shopping in all directions. Although there are a fare share of "street people" in the area no one bothered us. The hotel entry way and lobby look rundown with cracked tiles and sparse tired furniture. The maids speak limited English so communication can be a problem unless your Spanish ...
This is a really charming hotel. It's really clean and comfortable and the building itself is pretty neat and you really can't beat the prices expecially for a hotel that is right in downtown and we found that we could walk averywhere from here.
I stayed at this hotel for one day when I visted Seattle for a convention. I was pleasantly surprised by the quaitity of hotel for the price paid. The staff was helpful and nice. The room was clean and neat. The location was great...one street away from the ocean, and one block away from the Pike Marketplace.

The Moore is a Great Deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/06
My friends and I are all professionals in our 40's who can afford to stay in the costlier Seattle hotels. We always stay at the Moore for a number of reasons, primary among them being the value for money. The place is very very clean contrary to what anyone else might say, and you can open the windows to get fresh air, a rare characteristic ...
I recently stayed three nights at the Moore. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and anytime I had a question. The location can't be beat. You can pretty much walk to anywhere in the downtown business & tourist area from here. The rooms were a bit sparse and worn, but clean. I was worried not seeing any air conditoner in the ...

I would recommend this hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/06
This hotel is not a fancy hotel, but if you are just looking for a basic place to sleep this hotel is perfect! Just remember to bring your own shampoo, soap, and towel. (They provide towels, but they are so small and thin that they don't dry you too well.) The rooms are small and pretty old and may need some updating, but the most important ...

Terrible Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
The hotel was not clean, very old, hot (no A.C.)and in the worst part of town. Two policemen in town suggested we move to another hotel. We did. Never again will I stay at the Moore.
It's like a step back in time, all the charm but nothing high tech (except wireless access in the lobby)Claw foot bath tubs and a veiw of the bay, from 50 dollars a nite to 3 bedrooms for $130

Great deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
We stayed one night at the youth hostel (OK place, bunk beds, shared bath).Someone suggested the Moore (European style hotel). Wow! Same price as the hostel, private room with TV, phone, sink; only shared toilet and shower with a few rooms on a remodeled floor. They had earthquake damage a few years ago and have been remodeling a section at time. I was impressed. Great location too...couple blocks from Pike market.
Avoid this place as much as you can, we booked it for 5 days, we got kicked out after 3 because 'they overbooked it' (they didn't even apologize for it) they asked us to leave leaving us no other choice. They didn't even want to call a cab. Service is minimal to nil, overall quality is terrible, it's obvious that the bed sheet were not washed.
