Not one of the best hotels I have stayed in. As soon as we walked into the room there was an almost mildew smell as if the room as been locked up too long. The service was ok. However the location was good for our function.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH OUR 2 NIGHT STAY, I THOUGHT THE ROOMS WOULD BE IN POOR COND. FOR THE MONEY - COMPAIRED TO HOTELS CLOSER TO THE BEACH ,BUT I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT IT WAS VERY NICE. IT ONLY TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO GET TO THE BEACH , WHICH I DIDN'T MIND . I MOSTLY WENT FOR A CRABBING & FISHING TRIP , SO IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT .

Contrary to what other wrote here, I had a great stay at Econolodge.

1st) I didn't see any bugs here nor did I smell any odor in my room.

2nd) I believe that they may have already renovated place. The bathroom, sink, shower etc all appear to be new. The carpet may be a little old, other than that, I think it was very clean.

The pool was great and it was not expensive. The service and staff was excellent. We also liked that that it was not far from the ocean and the Boardwalk. The breakfast was great. We loved eating by the pool in the morning. The price was great compared to all the other hotles and motels. Thank-you

There was no way this hotel was worth $150 a night. There was mold and no fan in the bathroom. Rooms could be updated. Do was only open 8-8, that is if they weren't cleaning it in the morning. There was no lifeguard so why not have it open until 10. Didn't do the breakfast, lobby was too small & crowded. The front desk clerks were friendly. It's a good thing we didn't spend a lot of time there.

Well to start out we rented a room at the econo lodge that was supposed to be a "choice room" and it was completely disgusting!! You walk in the room and it smells like febrezze(meaning they probably dont even wash the sheets), there are cracks in the walls, paint chipped off everywhere, AND ANTS IN THE TUB!!!! It seems ok at first for a very Budget property. Just very old. Clean but very old carpet with smell and very old furniture. But if you are there long enough as we were at night before retiring out come the roaches from behind the bed and on the ceiling. Needless to say the family became closer as a result. Could never stay this place or anything like again. The thought of it makes me itch.

What we liked was the location, close to food and the ocean. The bathrooms however needed a little TLC and the rooms are in need of an update.
