We were surprised about how nice the rooms were for the price. High ceilings with the log cabin feel. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. It is an inexpensive place to relax going to & from Kirkwood.
We make it up the lodge at least once a year. Peaople are friendly, the smell of pines is wonderful, and the pool is a great way to beat the valley heat. At sunset we'll sit on the deck next the pool and watch the woods and fields for an occasional glimpse of deer or other wildlife. Can't wait to get back there.
The Pioneer Resorts Lodge was a good place to stay for a night or two while visiting the lower highway 88 area.
