Not up to our expections

Location is convenient. Setting is beautiful. Unfortunately the maid service was not consistent. Overall, service was indifferent and slow. This place is over rated and over priced. Too bad. We won't return.

I have had the opportunity to stay here twice on fly fishing trips. Now my wife is retiring and I want to bring her to one of the most peaceful places I know.

My first stay at the Highland Haven was in 1973! I returned in 1996 and again in 2001. I look forward to another visit in December. The property has been lovingly and beautifully restored and every guest is treated in the most special manner. Breakfast in the mornings, in any of the lodge areas is a wonderful treat. This is the perfect mountain retreat. Each cabin/room is comfortable and welcoming.
