The Super 8 Motel of Bridgeport is definately not a safe place to stay. Police cars repeatedly circling building which made us very nervous. Staff reports of two suicides at the property in the past year. Just not a safe place for families with small children or people travelling alone. Desk staff was friendly. Property very dated. Room smelled moldy and furnishings were very worn. We will not be staying here again.

Stay Somewhere Else

The price was fair and the location good, but the room smelled moldy. Went to the desk to get a toothbrush and the only toothbrush available was from a vending machine. How cheap can you get when a hotel doesn't have complimentary toothbrush or toothpaste. Anyway, I will be staying somewhere else from now on.
I stay here once a year because of low price. However non-smoking rooms stink of cigarette smoke, and the room I had on the 1st floor was damp and the sheets were not even dry. Also the bathroom door did not close properly and stained carpet. After my last trip to this hotel I will not be returning to this dump.

Great for an Inn / Good for a hotel

Bed was excellent, everything is clean. Very dated - mid 1980's, Staff friendly - locals, free breakfest of bagels, donuts, coffee and juice, small one foot fridge and microwave worked great. TV 26 inch or so very clear 20 or so channels. things I didn't like low water pressure, one inch hole in bathroom door, loose toilet base, peeling wall border.
