Will not return for another stay

The location is excellent. The service was great. The food was great. But we (there was four of us)will never stay there again. The rooms were uwful! It looked as though it was never updated. The carpet was disgusting. It was thin as paper, stained, and rolled! I don't think it was ever replaced. There was no place to hang your towels in ...

Great for the money

I love the location of this place. It does need to be fixed up a bit but my room is always fine. I go up every year and nanny for families and like it. Captain Bill's boat trip is pretty neat too. You can try sailing too or go to the Italian fest! It's super! Go NY!!!!!!!!!

The Most Disgusting Motel I've Ever Seen

The Glen Motor Inn is dirty and disgusting. After driving for seven hours with my elderly parents and young neice and nephew, we were horrified when we arrivied. Two day getaway!

The building needs to be updated. I was disappointed the pool wasn't open. The staff was great. We felt at home there. Food was above par and the bar was very friendly and cordial. The area is second to none!!

The only thing nice about it was the view.

The carpeting was old. The chair in my room was so dirty I wouldn't even rest my coat over it. The fuses blew and the electricity went out in several of our parties rooms. They had to use my room to finish drying their hair, and to top it all off there was little hot water! The view was nice, but the balcony was old- I was afraid we were all going to end up on the driveway below.

Nice Folks

Nice folks, very helpful and friendly. A Beautiful view of Senica lake from room balconys.The resturant is delightful with a nice reasonable menu for both the breakfast menu and dinner menu with nightly specials.
It is a very short drive to the villlage of Watkins Glenn. Don't forget to hike the State Park at the end of the main street in Watkins Glenn. Numerous waterfalls and unbelieveable views on a nice 1 1/2 mile hike.

Horrible very dirty.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The bed spreads were greasy and dirty. The carpet was stained and pulling up from the floor. The one chair in the room was covered with stains. The furniture on the balcony and the balcony itself were dirty. old. There's nothing in the rooms, no iron, hair dryer, coffee maker etc. The only nice thing I can say is that after I voiced my displeasue with their motel, they did return my money.

We got married in Watkins Glen - on a boat on the lake. We stayed at the GMI as did several of our guests. We were embarrassed that we had actually provided this hotel as an option to our guests. The restaurant is ok, the view is great, but the rooms are absolutely horrible, in desperate need of updating and repair. Since there are so few ...

Our wonderful summer escape!!

We stay at the Glen Motor Inn every August with two other couples during Italian Festival weekend (the first full weekend in August). We absolutely love this place -- sitting out on the balcony just looking at the lake is so relaxing for us. Drinking great New York wine that Saturday night out on the balcony and watching the fireworks over the lake is an unforgetable experience!!! Everyone is so nice and friendly!! Definitely a must visit!!
