There is a musty smell to the rooms (have been here on a few occasions). The beds are very uncomfortable. Last time the air conditioner was not working-this was in July- and after maintenance still was not working properly. Writing to management about these and other issues will get you nowhere since they will not respond. I was able to get a 3 1/2 star hotel in Hawaii for almost $100 cheaper- in August. Definitely not worth the money.

My family and my sister's family have been going to the Anchorage by the Sea for 10 years. The adults, as well as the kids, love to go. Every summer we look forward to our trip to Ogunquit.

We have been going to Ogunquit for 15 years. Every year we stay at the Anchorage by the Sea. Sometimes we go twice a year. it doesn't matter what the season, this motel is the best. It has great service, always clean, and employees very friendly. They have renovated the rooms recently. the location is great. It is walking distance to the shops, Marginal Way, Beach and Perkins Cove. Bob McPherson, Dennis, Cape Cod Mass

Loved our get away for two. Stayed in the studio across the road from thw Marginal Way. Huge room comfortable bed & seating could walk to all amenities. Will be going back this fall.

I recomended this to friends, after staying in king size room that was very tasteful and clean. We booked rooms in the towers,site unseen,we were very disappointed. the rooms were small, the beds were very outdated, as were the bathrooms. Was not worth the money, would not stay here again. location is great, but this did not make up for the room!!

It is going through renovations, so we took a November weekend to give the Anchorage a try, to review it for a summer 10 day get away, in August. I loved the Fall Vacation and your beautiful gift by the sea. I can't stop taking about it. I would love to go back and spend more time. Our trip was too rushed to take in all the beauty of ogunquit.
