they took a reservation but did not honor my cancellation. Get everything in writing .. my reservation was never confirmed, but somehow my credit card was charged and they never acknowledged that I called and cancelled: no one "remembered" talking to me! So I paid for two rooms I never used. In addition, they were snotty about it!

We've come to bar harbor every few years since 1976, we've stayed at Cromwell Harbor most often, but have tried other places. We feel that Cromwell Harbor keeps the authenticity, homeyness, and rural feeling most definitely. We'll stay there every time we travel there from now on. It is the way Bar Harbor should be!!!
