Close to eating places and shopping, many shops selling cloth/clothing etc and you don't want to miss the fine sumatra dishes at Jalan Ikan, I don't remember exactly but its ikan ??. It's no further than 10 minutes walk away. There is also an upper class stall centres along the road just across the road from the Hotel which starts in the evening, pretty convennient.
