Watch out the Hotel Money Exchange

Watch out the Hotel Money Exchange Desk. They will slip-in a few fake notes and then of course deny and claim to be a big name etc!
The hotel is conveniently situated outside the Yuexiu GongYuan metro, making connections to major attractions of Guangzhou a breeze.
The hotel looks posh from the outside. The lobby looks grand and most of the front-desk staffs speaks English, Chinese and Cantonese.

Pleasant Stay

I was impressed by the helpful staff in a bustling environment. This place is crowded but the staff managed guest needs efficiently. As a plus, ee hired a hotel car for the day to visit sights in Guangzhou. You could take cabs (or walk to some sights), but our driver was good and the price reasonable. The hotel has good restaurants too but you'll probably want to explore local cuisine the way locals eat.
I LIKE THIS PLACE BECAUSE QUITE CLEAN GOOD SERVICE VERY GOOD RECEPTIN GOOD EMPOYEES ALL FACILETIES NOT TOO FAR FROM THE NEW LOCATION OF CANTON FAIR.

OVERALL
Overall, A Nice Place to Stay

We stayed at the China Hotel for 2 nights in late November '04, and it was a fairly pleasant experience. Overall, the hotel's common areas were clean, and service was prompt, attentive, and cordial. We were greeted by the general manager, Rauf, and made to feel welcome on the property.
