This is a sad and tired hotel in need of a major overhaul.
We only chose it because of its location near to the Marina (the Clipper Round the World Yachts were having a stopover in Durban). When we went to sit in the lounge having checked out and whilst waiting for car to take us to the airport, we were told that only preferred guests could sit there!

I was very pleased with the friendly,effiecient and warm service. The hotel is beautiful and very clean.The food is out of this world and the hotel is situated in the heart of the city,close to the theatre,clubs,restaurants and stores. The transport is highly accessible and in close visinity.

The people there are very welcoming, they are full of life and I enjoyed my 17 days stay in that hotel.
