Russia has a secret weapon and it's not nuclear, political or any hotel. I can't wait to get back to the U.S.S.R.,or whatever it calls itself now....C.C.C.P. or Russian Republic!

Loved Russia, the Hotel and St. Petersburg
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/05
St. Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, overflowing with culture and history. The hotel is not the best around, but if you cannot afford better, it is everything you need and more, in what major tourist destination (Moscow, New York, Paris, Rome, London etc.,) have you seen cheap 5 star hotels, or referred to as ...

VERY POOR HOTEL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/05
This hotel is marginal at best. Seeing where the Russians regard this as a 4 star hotel is laughable. This hotel is vastly overpriced for the poor quality and one should expect much better for the price. The staff is very inconsiderate to Americans and Japanese and do not seem to remember that tourists are paying big money to them for the rooms. ...

A miserable dump of a hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
This is one of the worst, overpriced hotels ever! The rooms are terrible, overpriced, and of poor quality at best. The "Ivans" should be able to do much better in regards to service.

Marginal Russian hotel at best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/05
The Pulkovskaya hotel is conveniently located near the Airport there, but beyond this, it is a very unsatisfactory overpriced stay at best. By British, Canadian or even the American standards the hotel would be a one star or two star at best. It is very much overpriced by any standards and underserviced also. The vast majority of the persons ...

Well...it is Russia for you....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/05
Very poor service and quality for the price. I should not have been surprised though for Russia. The staff working there is typically anti-Westerner, and do as little as possible to accomodate and facilitate your stay. Not much to impress or encourage you to come back.

A very nice, affordable hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/05
The hotels in St. Petersburg have become very expensive but the Pulkovskaya is a bargain! I had a room on the top floor and was very impressed with it. The halls and lobby are spotless, beautiful scenes of St. Petersburg done in stained glass dominate the reception area. The rooms on the upper floors are really nice: new furniture, spotless ...
