  • A Review from Two 20-Somethings
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/09
What we did was ask for the cheapest room available...$153 a night in early June weekdays. We recommend doing this because... we were rarely in the room, it's the amenities you are paying for. There was a lazy river where you could float on (and bring beer on), we had the most fun at the swimming hole (the newest and nicest of the pools). You ...

  • Perfect vacation
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/09
We went on January 1 and enjoyed the Christmas lights which were still on display. Our accomodation was the private 1 bedroom cabin which was charming. The fireplace made for the perfect setting in our cabin. The kitchen was great for light meals and we also enjoyed dining in two of the restaurants. The shower has multi-heads which is awesome. ...

  • 30 Trips and Still Going Back...
    By Maddy B, 03/11/09
Big Cedar Lodge is truly and honestly my favorite place in this entire world. I'm young and have been to many places but this place is very worth the energy and money to go to. I've been going to Big Cedar for over 10 years now, with about an average of 3 trips a year. I just love the whole environment - over 800 acres of gorgeous trees ...

  • We never want to leave!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/08
We have gone 3-4 times for the past 14 years and NEVER want to leave.
We love the cabins and generally stay there but the Falls Lodge is wonderful too. Is it pricey.....a bit but well worth it! We hope to continue our tradition of going multi times a year for many, many years to come.

  • YOU PAY FOR THE NAME
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/08
    Nice setting.
    Overpriced.
Very poorly lit roadway at night.
    Poorly lit bathrooms.
Construction on the cabin next door was noisy. Contractor's took up lots of parking space. We returned from Branson shows one night and no parking available at our cabins.
Director Jamie Keys unwilling to make adjustment/refund.
You have the feeling that Big Cedar doing you a favor to let you stay.

  • Feels like home...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
I return numerous times throughout the fall, winter, and spring to enjoy the wonderful beauty of nature this resort portrays. No detail has been forgotten in accomodations, amenities, and hospitality. It is one of a kind! Don't forget to go to Dogwood Canyon to see another of Johnny Morris's passions!

  • An annual requirement
    By MichaelA, 11/01/07
My wife, 3 children and I spend every Fourth of July at Big Cedar. It has it all, location, pools (and poolside service), activities, restaurants, and at that time of year, the best fireworks show in the area. The rooms range from quaint cabins to elegant suites. We stay in the 'Knotty Pine Cottages', which were some of the original ...

  • Romatic getaway !!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/07
There is nothing that we disliked about Big Cedar Lodge. The place is exceptional and extremely beautiful and romatic. We celebrated our 25th wedding aniversary there last week and Big Cedar's service and friendliness added to our memories and special occasion. We were going to go out to Colorado until a friend recommended Big Cedar and we ...
