Loved the idea but was anticipating it to be a tad uncomfortable--just because most things from that era are rigid, stuffy and small. But my room (The Georgian) was roomy, my bath was as well. The bed was very comfortable. I would have liked to stay another night. Keep in mind that it is the personal home of the owners and not an impersonal ...

Be very truthful!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/08
I recently attended my friends wedding at lookaway hall. The grounds were beautiful very well kept, and our room was clean. The staff however need improvement along with the owner that was very rude. Writing a review has proven to be an impossible task. It would make you think that the owners go on line to write their own raving reviews to be posted.

broke my heart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/08
Thought this would be the place to host the wedding of my dreams. My dream was destroyed by rude, insulting, insolent staff, room temperatures regulated to 80 degrees plus by cheap staff's contraptions, poorly maintained landscaping excused by "we do things the natural way here"- (keep in mind, this was a GARDEN wedding) overbaked, ...

Beware! Email confirmation?
By schuster_cindy, 05/20/08
Beautiful grounds and perfect location. However our confirmed email room was given to someone else of the same last name. This also happened to two other couples the same weekend. We found out later that she was rude to the person who got our room about their bill settling up since they signed for our credit card bill in the first place. No wonder this place is for sale by the owners! They should not be in this business.

We can't wait to go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/08
My wife and I were looking for a romantic getaway. We live in Evans, Ga. and wanted to find something close by. We searched the internet and found this awesome Bed & Breakfast in Rosemary Hall. We only live about 20 minutes away and now that we know we have something this nice so close we will be back. We would highly recommend this Bed & ...

The greatest bed and breakfast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
My husband and I went there to celebrate our 13th year anniversary. This was the most pleasant experience we ever had! The owners/managers are wonderful! They went out of their way to accommodate us. The surroundings were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the overall stay on a scale of 1-10 was well above 10! I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to get away and experience life in luxury from the past! GREAT!!! Thanks so much!

The Charm of the Old South
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/07
I travel to the Augusta area frequently on business. I found this special B&B in March 2007 and have never stayed anywhere else since. There is free wireless internet. They also have an impressive dining area that is open for lunch.
The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are many trees and just below Lookaway Hall is a ...

The epitome of Southern charm!!
By stackcrunch, 08/27/07
From the gracious welcome to the departing breakfast, we could not have asked for a better stay. The rooms exude warmth from the moment you enter and if you sit long enough you'd swear you were in the old South. Our room was beautifully appointed, clean, spacious and it was one of the best night's sleep I've had in a while. The next ...

Beautiful, charming place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
We spent 3 wonderful nights here, and have only good things to say about it! A 1902 architectural gem, beautifully restored. Glad they saved this one. The rooms were spacious, clean, well conditioned. The (new) staff were prompt, helpful and considerate - I could only attribute the old poor reviews to previous owners.
The breakfasts we had ...

A Romantic Getaway Come True
By csukat18, 04/05/07
My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway for the weekend, and Rosemary and Lookaway Halls in North Augusta were perfect for us! I grew up in North Augusta and had always dreamed of staying there one day, and I was pleasantly surprised with the antique look of the room, the kindness of the owners, the inviting bathroom and tub, and the overall ...
