It was very nice place, my condo was renovated and in great condition. The location isnt the best, but its only a short walk to the nice part of Kaanapali beach. Close to Lahaina and Whallers village. The washer and dryers were a HUGE plus and its great place to stay if your staying for a while in Maui.

We three girls stayed at the Papakea from May 22 to May 29; in J105. We were so pleased with the size of our condo. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath, and it was so roomy and well equipped. Had a one bedroom Ocean FRONT and couldn't have had a better location. Loved the condo which was updated and very clean. Loved the pool and grounds - everything was excellent. Close to activities - close to restaurants - Great place to stay.

We've stayed at Papakea several times, always in an ocean front room. We have had to change rooms every time we've been there b/c either the room was dirty or the room next door was being remodeled and there was hammering and drilling going on all day. The office staff was eager to accomodate us in each instance.

WE AS A FAMILY LOVED IT. I AM NOW MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR ALL MY 3 CHILDREN THEIR HUSBANDS AND 8 GRANDCHILDREN AND 1 GREAT GRAND CHILD AGE 6. IT IS SUCH A MEMORY MAKER PLACE TO GATHER. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. WE LOOKED INTO CRUISES AND THE VOTE WAS FOR PAPAKEA RESORT, SO YOU SEE THEY ALL CANT BE WRONG. A LITTLE BIT OF OUR HEARTS ARE LEFT EACH TIME WE VISIT.

I liked this place...........toooooo much......nice location.......nice nature ......everything was good....Comfortable rooms.....but one thing I didn't like - not nice smell at the kitchen....but it was not a problem . Room service is great..Mike, thank you for this trip! We loved Maui!!!!

Have stayed in various condos at Papakea for
10 years. Every July and sometimes twice a year.

Close enough to Lahaina and Kaapiolani Beach.
Nice and quiet. Only 4 stories so low density.
Don't stay near ponds. Koi jump out of water at night to catch bugs and it sounds like someone fell in.
Also the ponds have frogs which sound off as ...
