This was an amazing quiet hotel.We had the best time.The bar was right out the pool door.Our room was romantic and beautiful.We had a creekside deluxe king.Worth every penny.Will go back again and again.I loved how the staff was so willing to help.The only thing negitive I can say is that we did not spend enough time there.

This hotel has character for sure and why not its in a perfect spot on the creek, everything you need is close by and the dining on Shem Creek is as good as anywhere in Charleston. I too work in the guest service industry and found the rooms, lobby etc. to be exceptionally clean and comfortable and the employees to be the best of the best.

Read some other reviews and let's face it, we can't be perfect ALL the time but Shem Creek sure attempts perfection in my eyes.

This place was a total dump! the towels were filthy, and were so threadbare, most people would have put them in their rag bag. gum on the carpeting in the hallways. no hairdryers in the rooms. the walls were so thin you could hear every word people in the hall were saying. no towels at the pool, however there were some rotten oranges and tomatoes ...

The Inn offered excellent location within close proximity of many attractions. There were several good eating establishments, nitelife and fishing charters within walking distance. Either side of the Inn offered scenic views. Good place to stay close to Charleston but more peaceful.

WE WERE AWAKEN AT THREE O'CLOCK AM BY SOMEONE OPENING OUR DOOR. WHEN I YELLED AT THIS PERSON THEY SHUT THE DOOR AND LEFT. NOT SURE WHO IT WAS. WE REPORTED TO THE DESK CLERK WHO STATED HE SAW NO ONE.
